All these pundits and news anchors, talking heads...they all keep bleating on about how immigration "helps America!" And we should welcome these millions of LAWBREAKERS into our country with open arms. So my question is..and keep in mind NO ONE has answered it to my satisfaction, or at all really...if they're such a great help and can make a difference to THIS country, why don't they stay in that sh*thole of a country they came from and make IT better?! Because believe me, having seen the city of Tijuana up close and personal, I can tell you THAT is a place that needs improving. Mexico is one of the most corrupt countries in the WORLD and the reason it stays that way is because they keep the general populace so uneducated and ignorant that they don't know they CAN change it! So...tell me again how an ignorant and uneducated populace who ILLEGALLY enters this country while others stand in line to LEGALLY enter it...and then once here REFUSES to learn the language and assimilate or become citizens...tell me how they are going to IMPROVE our country? They're not..instead they'll join the Free Sh*t Army and live off the rest of us until we finally give up trying to get ahead and stay home to collect unemployment. Then, like parasites, when the host is dead, they'll move on to another place to suck THEIR populace dry. Is this a popular view? Not with a lot of people...but is it fairly accurate? Ask California. I lived there, too, for seven LONG years. It's a beautiful state...full of some good people, some idiots and some parasites. I have seen what illegal immigration does to a community and it is NOT pretty. Gang warfare, drugs, illiterates who have no desire to become citizens and better themselves. Oh, there are some who do..but they are VASTLY outnumbered. You see, all they have ever known is socialism and they will repeat what they know...they will try to turn the places they live into what they came from. When Americans go anywhere, they try to spread capitalism and democracy. For many cultures, this is completely opposite of what they know (mostly due to ignorance and lack of a good education in economics and history) so we have known some success but also a lot of failure. They're great ideas to spread around but not everyone will grasp the concepts. Hence, the difference between cultures and countries. We are an optimistic people who don't like to give up, I will give us that.
One last point that people just overlook without blinking an eye...there are still laws on the book that prohibit certain types of immigration because there are steps one must legally take to enter and stay in this country. When those poor, beleaguered Mexican citizens cross over our borders in the dead of night, through secret tunnels or packed like sardines inside a (usually stolen) van or truck, they are BREAKING THE LAW. If you don't want it to be called ILLEGAL immigration, then change the laws, but until then, they ARE ILLEGAL. This is not semantics. This is a FACT. I'm not heartless but we have laws for a reason. You want lawlessness, move to Mexico...but be prepared to go through a more rigorous immigration system than we have here!
